The "Being Sad For Marco Smolla" Foundation 2009-04-03 18:40:51 CET

So to get rid of any confusion and conspiracy theories, here's our official press statement:

Munich, April 2nd.
"Marco S. injured his knee last season and was therefore not able to get a part in 'Teenage Love Graffiti', unfortunately. Beginning of this season, Marco S. broke his arm in Breckenridge, Colorado. And just after he was back and able to ride & film in January, he tore his ACL in his knee once again. He won't be riding this season at all. About a month ago he had surgery and now he's exercising almost every day to get ready for next year. As Marco S. is not only training his legs but his whole body, he already looks like a little box of packed meat, which is kind of funny."

Anyways... you clearly see that this is a pretty unusual series of bad luck. We are very sad for Marco and so is he. And seemingly, you are, too. So we thought we come up with that little Foundation to give you a chance to express your feelings and make Marco's life a little brighter in tough times like these.

Bring your emotion, your sadness, your sympathy into a visual form of any kind and send it to us. That could be really cheesy "Get Well Soon"-postcards from the corner store, your drawings, pictures of you being really sad or whatever pops into your mind. We will make a collage of all things you sent us and hang it to Marco's room. I'm pretty sure this will make him get well faster.

You can also win something. The one with the most original idea will get a date with Marco himself. (I didn't ask him about this yet, but I'm sure he'll be OK with it).
